The Meridian Recycled Leather Messenger Bag is FountainEarth's sustainable messenger — finished in GRS-certified recycled pebbled leather, sized at 28 cm × 25 cm × 9 cm. Magnetic front-flap closure, main compartment with internal 13-inch tablet sleeve and accessory pockets, plus a back zip pocket for quick-access essentials. How it is used

A messenger for the daily commute and the weekend trip — sized to carry a 13-inch tablet, a notebook, charger, and the day's essentials without becoming a backpack.

• Magnetic front flap closure. Hidden neodymium magnets in the front flap hold it closed silently — no buckle, no zip across the top. Pulls open with one hand.
• Fits 13-inch tablet. Padded internal sleeve sized for iPad Pro 13", iPad Air 13", Galaxy Tab S9+, Surface Pro, equivalent.
• Two compartments. 1 main compartment under the front flap with the padded tablet sleeve and accessory pockets; 1 independent back zip pocket for cards, boarding passes, or a slim wallet.
• 28 × 25 × 9 cm. Sized for the daily commute — fits the tablet, an A4 notebook, charger, and the day's essentials. The 9 cm depth keeps the silhouette professional.

FountainEarth is a Made-in-Bharat leather brand. Our recycled leather comes from GRS-audited supply chains, and every messenger is hand-stitched and finished at our Delhi workshop. GRS (Global Recycled Standard) verifies the chain of custody, the recycled content percentage, and the environmental, social, and chemical management at every stage. The magnetic flap mechanism uses high-grade neodymium magnets seated between two leather panels. The internal tablet sleeve is padded with closed-cell foam between the recycled leather and a soft felt lining. The Nib emblem is debossed during finishing, and the lining is stitched not glued.

The bag ships with silver-toned hardware throughout — magnetic flap mechanism, shoulder-strap connectors, zip pulls, and the cast Nib emblem are solid zinc alloy with industrial-grade plating. Colour: classic black. Ships in the FountainEarth branded dust bag.

How to care for the bag:

• Wipe occasionally with a soft dry cloth. No chemical cleaners.
• The pebbled finish hides scuffs well — small marks blend into the natural grain.
• The magnetic flap holds firmly even after thousands of openings; if it ever weakens, the magnet component can be replaced under our Lifetime Repair Service.
• For prolonged storage, fill the bag with crumpled tissue paper so it holds shape.
• Store in the FountainEarth dust bag when not in daily use.

Frequently asked questions

What tablet sizes fit?
The internal sleeve is sized for 13-inch tablets: iPad Pro 13", iPad Air 13", Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+, Microsoft Surface Pro, and equivalent. A thin folio case fits alongside in most cases; bulky cases may not.

Will a 14" laptop fit?
Smaller 13"–14" laptops fit inside the main compartment though not in the dedicated tablet sleeve. For 15"+ laptops, choose the Lexor Sleeve or the Crunch Office Briefcase instead.

Is recycled leather second-rate?
No — recycled leather is built from leather panels rescued from tannery offcuts, blended, and re-finished to the same wear-resistance standard as virgin leather. The pebbled finish hides minor scuffs better than smooth leather.

Is FountainEarth the same as Fountain Earth?
Yes. Same brand, same workshop. FountainEarth is the compound brand mark; Fountain Earth is the spaced form we use in legal and trade contexts.

Every piece ships in the FountainEarth branded dust bag — a soft cotton sleeve that protects the leather in transit and works as long-term storage when the piece isn't in daily use. For corporate orders we have two tiers: plain corporate orders start at a 10-unit minimum; custom-branded orders (co-branded dust bag, monogramming) start at a 25-unit minimum, with a typical 4–5 week turnaround.
