How it is used

A bag for the traveller who wants a hands-free crossbody with real organisation — passport in one pocket, phone in another, boarding pass and cards always accessible.

• Three independent zip compartments. Two front zips stack vertically (the upper for passport, the lower for phone), plus a back zip for boarding passes or a slim wallet. Three separate pockets, three different access points, no rummaging.
• 21 × 34 × 5 cm vertical format. Vertical (taller than wide) wears comfortably as a crossbody without slapping against the hip — the 5 cm depth keeps it slim against the body even when full.
• Adjustable crossbody strap. Wears across the body for hands-free travel, or shortened to a shoulder carry. Length adjusts from 80 cm to 140 cm.
• FountainEarth Nib zipper pullers. All three zips use the cast Nib in silver-toned finish — consistent across the bag, easy to grip even with one hand.
• Pebbled recycled leather. Natural-grain pebbled texture on GRS-certified recycled leather — softer in the hand than smooth or saffiano, more forgiving on visible wear.

FountainEarth is a Made-in-Bharat leather brand. Our recycled leather comes from GRS-audited supply chains, and every crossbody is hand-stitched and finished at our Delhi workshop. GRS (Global Recycled Standard) verifies the chain of custody, the recycled content percentage, and the environmental, social, and chemical management at every stage. The three-compartment construction is the structural distinctive — most crossbodies give you one or two pockets. The Quill's vertical layout stacks pockets so contents stay organised in transit. The Nib emblem is debossed during finishing, and the lining is stitched not glued.

How to care for the bag:

• Wipe occasionally with a soft dry cloth. No chemical cleaners.
• The pebbled finish hides scuffs well — small marks blend into the natural grain.
• If a zipper feels stiff after long use, rub a graphite pencil tip along the teeth.
• Empty the bag fully when storing for extended periods, and fill with crumpled tissue paper to hold shape.
• Store in the FountainEarth dust bag when not in use.

How does the three-compartment layout work in practice?
The front of the bag has two zip pockets stacked vertically — the upper one is sized for a passport (slightly larger), the lower one for a phone (slightly smaller). The back of the bag has a third zip pocket, flat against the body — sized for boarding passes, a metro card, or a slim wallet. Each compartment opens independently.

Is this a women's or men's bag?
Unisex — at 21 × 34 × 5 cm in classic black pebbled leather, the form factor works for both men and women. Used by men as a travel-day crossbody and by women as a city bag.

Will a passport fit?
Yes — the upper front zip compartment is sized to fit a standard passport (Indian, US, EU, or equivalent) with a margin for clean insertion and removal.

Every piece ships in the FountainEarth branded dust bag — a soft cotton sleeve that protects the leather in transit and works as long-term storage when the piece isn't in daily use. For corporate orders we have two tiers: plain corporate orders start at a 10-unit minimum; custom-branded orders (co-branded dust bag, monogramming) start at a 25-unit minimum, with a typical 4–5 week turnaround.
