GRS (Global Recycled Standard) verifies the chain of custody, the recycled content percentage, and the environmental, social, and chemical management at every stage. The pebbled finish is a natural-grain texture — gentler on the hand than smooth, more forgiving on visible wear. The Nib emblem is debossed during finishing, and the lining is stitched not glued.

How to care for the wallet:

Is recycled leather second-rate?
No — recycled leather is built from leather panels rescued from tannery offcuts, blended, and re-finished to the same wear-resistance standard as virgin leather. The pebbled finish actually hides minor scuffs better than smooth leather. The trade-off is purely environmental: a lower footprint, with the same daily-use performance.

Will my Indian passport fit?
Yes. The sleeve is cut to the ICAO Doc 9303 standard which the Indian passport follows — 12.5 cm × 8.8 cm closed. The cover's internal sleeve fits the passport with a small margin for clean insertion and removal at immigration counters.

Does it offer RFID protection?
No FountainEarth product carries RFID-blocking material — we do not claim a feature we don't offer. Indian passports use ICAO-compliant chips that already require physical proximity to be read; the practical risk of skimming through a leather cover is minimal for standard travel.
