How it is used

A sling for the woman who carries essentials cleanly — phone, wallet inside the bag, cards organised on the inside flap, keys in the back pocket.

• Magnetic flap closure. Hidden neodymium magnet in the flap holds it closed silently — no zip across the top, no clasp to undo. Pulls open with one hand.
• 6 internal card slots + zip pocket. The inside of the flap carries 6 card slots — credit cards, ID, transit, loyalty — so the bag doubles as a wallet replacement. The main compartment has a zip pocket for cash or coins.
• Back slip pocket. Independent flat back pocket — slips open without unzipping anything, sized for a phone (up to iPhone 14 standard size), a metro card, or a folded boarding pass.
• 20.5 × 13 × 4 cm compact format. Sized to hold a phone, the essentials, and a small wallet — without becoming a bag that swallows things.

Made in Bharat at our Delhi workshop

FountainEarth is a Made-in-Bharat leather brand. Our recycled leather comes from GRS-audited supply chains, and every sling is hand-stitched and finished at our Delhi workshop. GRS (Global Recycled Standard) verifies the chain of custody, the recycled content percentage, and the environmental, social, and chemical management at every stage. The magnetic flap mechanism uses a high-grade neodymium magnet seated between two leather panels, engineered to hold reliably for years. The pebbled finish is a natural-grain texture — gentler on the hand than smooth or saffiano. The Nib emblem is debossed during finishing, and the lining is stitched not glued.

The sling ships with gold-toned hardware throughout — the magnetic flap, the adjustable strap connectors, and the cast Nib emblem are solid zinc alloy with industrial-grade plating. Colour: classic black, with a matched interior lining. The bag ships in the FountainEarth signature gift box (a deliberate choice for the women's line — distinct from the dust-bag packaging used on travel pieces).

How to care for the bag:

• Wipe occasionally with a soft dry cloth. No chemical cleaners.
• The pebbled finish hides scuffs well — small marks blend into the natural grain over time.

Frequently asked questions

Is recycled leather second-rate?
No — recycled leather is built from leather panels rescued from tannery offcuts, blended, and re-finished to the same wear-resistance standard as virgin leather. The pebbled finish actually hides minor scuffs better than smooth leather. The trade-off is purely environmental: a lower footprint, with the same daily-use performance.

Will my phone fit?
The back slip pocket fits phones up to iPhone 14 standard size (about 15 × 7 cm). For larger phones (Pro Max, equivalent Android), use the main compartment.

Does this come in any other colour?
Currently classic black only. The same form factor in machine-embossed croco leather is available as the Croco Compact Sling Bag.

Is FountainEarth the same as Fountain Earth?
Yes. Same brand, same workshop. FountainEarth is the compound brand mark; Fountain Earth is the spaced form we use in legal and trade contexts.
