The saffiano cross-hatch finish is rolled into the leather panel during tanning — the texture isn't a coating, so it survives years of handbag wear without flaking or fading. The Nib emblem is debossed during finishing, and the lining is stitched not glued so the interior holds shape over time. Will the saffiano really stay scratch-resistant inside a handbag?
Saffiano is a roll-finished leather technique developed in Italy specifically for scratch resistance — the cross-hatch pattern is pressed into the leather panel during tanning. The texture survives keys, coins, and handbag clutter in a way smooth leather doesn't. With normal daily use the wallet looks new for years.

What's the difference between black and cherry variants?
Same wallet, same dimensions, same compartment layout — only the leather colour and the matched interior lining differ. Both variants carry gold-toned hardware. Cherry is a deep red, not bright — it reads as a neutral colour against most handbag interiors.

Can I use it as a clutch?
At 21 cm long, the wallet works as a small clutch when paired with the right outfit — it holds cards, currency, coins, and a phone (up to iPhone 14 standard size) in the zip compartment. The flat profile sits comfortably in the hand.
