The Classic Brogue Reversible Belt is FountainEarth's the everyday-formal dress belt — a 3 cm dress belt with bonded edges (no edge stitching to clutter the reversible silhouette) and a flip-buckle that swaps the strap face in one motion. How it is used

The belt that solves the most common belt problem — needing to match both black shoes and brown shoes from one belt.

• Two faces, one belt. Midnight black on one side, rich brown on the other. Flip the buckle, the strap reverses — the gold-toned buckle stays in place, the leather face changes.
• Flip-buckle pin-and-hole mechanism. Slide the buckle outward to release the pin, rotate, and slide the buckle back. The strap reverses without untucking from your trousers — the whole switch takes under five seconds.
• 3 cm slim formal profile. The dress-belt width that sits clean under a suit jacket. Pairs with dress trousers through chinos.
• Brogue-perforated punch detail along the strap. The brogue perforation pattern is the same detail that gives oxford brogue shoes their formal character — small punched holes registered evenly along the strap.

How to care for the belt:

• Wipe occasionally with a soft dry cloth on the face you've been wearing. No chemical cleaners.
• Hang the belt at the end of the day rather than coiling it — coiling stresses the bonded edges over time.

Frequently asked questions

How exactly does the flip-buckle work, and will it stay closed?
Slide the buckle outward (away from the strap), which releases the pin from the hole. Rotate the buckle 180 degrees — the strap face reverses. Slide the buckle back into place; the pin re-engages with the hole. The mechanism is held by the pin tension, not by a clip — once closed, it stays closed for the day. The whole flip takes under five seconds and can be done with the belt still threaded through your trousers.

Are both sides really different leather, or is it printed?
Both sides are genuinely different leather panels — midnight black on one face, rich brown on the other — bonded together along the edges. Not a print, not a coating. You can feel the edge bond if you run a fingernail along the side; it's a deliberate bonded seam rather than a stitched one, which is what gives the belt its clean reversible silhouette.

What size belt should I buy?
Pick a belt 2 inches higher than your trouser waist. A 32" trouser = a 34" belt. The strap is finished to your size at the workshop — no trimming required at home. The waist range covered is 30"–42".

Will the gold-toned finish wear off?
