The Croco Slim Leather Wallet is FountainEarth's croco bifold for men — finished in LWG-certified machine-embossed croco leather, sized at 11.5 cm × 9 cm × 1.5 cm so it sits flat in a front trouser pocket. 8 card slots, one full-width cash compartment, no closure mechanism to add bulk. Made from LWG-certified genuine leather, hand-stitched and finished at our Delhi workshop.

How it is used

A wallet for the man who carries less deliberately — and wants a texture with more visual character than the cross-hatch saffiano.

• 8 card slots. Four on each side of the bifold — credit cards, ID, transit, one extra.
• 1 full-width cash compartment. Long pocket the width of the bifold — fits unfolded currency notes without bending.
• 1.5 cm slim. Loaded at 8 cards, the wallet sits at 1.5 cm — slim enough for any pocket without the bulk of a traditional bifold.
• Machine-embossed croco finish. The scale pattern is embossed into the leather during finishing — the texture is part of the leather, not a print. More visual presence than smooth or saffiano.
• FountainEarth Nib icon. A small debossed mark on the front face. The mark deepens into the leather over months of use.

Made in Bharat at our Delhi workshop

FountainEarth is a Made-in-Bharat leather brand. Our leather comes from LWG-audited tanneries, and every wallet is hand-stitched and finished at our Delhi workshop. The croco emboss is registered into the leather panel during finishing — the scale geometry is uniform across each face of the bifold, the panels matched by hand. The Nib emblem is debossed during finishing, and the lining is stitched not glued. Fountain Earth's catalogue stays small by choice: three men's slim wallets — croco, saffiano, pebbled — each with a single deliberate design.

The wallet ships with silver-toned hardware on the cast Nib emblem — solid zinc alloy with industrial-grade plating. Colour: classic black.

How to care for the wallet:

• Wipe occasionally with a soft dry cloth. No chemical cleaners.
• The croco emboss is durable but loose keys in the same pocket can leave marks — keep keys separate.
• Store in the FountainEarth gift box between heavy use.
• Skip leather conditioner for the first six months — the croco finish is already sealed.
• Empty the cash compartment of folded notes when storing for extended periods.

Frequently asked questions

Is the croco real?
No — the croco texture is machine-embossed onto genuine LWG-certified leather. FountainEarth does not use any exotic or reptile leather.

How does this compare to the Saffiano bifold?
Same form factor — slim bifold, 8 cards, no closure — and same LWG certification. The difference is texture only: the Saffiano has a fine cross-hatch (resistant to scratches in a way the croco isn't quite), while the Croco has more visible scale pattern (more presence on the desk). Choose by texture preference.

Why no closure?
By design — no zip or snap means no mechanism to add bulk. The bifold relies on the snug fit of the card slots and the natural fold of the leather to keep contents in place.

Is FountainEarth the same as Fountain Earth?
Yes. Same brand, same workshop. FountainEarth is the compound brand mark; Fountain Earth is the spaced form we use in legal and trade contexts.

What does the warranty cover?
The 1-Year Warranty covers material and craftsmanship defects within the first year — stitching, leather finish, debossing. The Lifetime Repair Service covers stitch repair at no labour charge.
